Montréal Space for Life invites you to explore some exquisite dimensions of biodiversity during Butterflies Go Free, and plunge into the universe of butterflies from around the world.
From February 20 to April 27, 2014, the Botanical Garden's Main Exhibition Greenhouse will be transformed into a huge butterfly house, welcoming thousands of brilliantly coloured butterflies and moths.
Whether discreet or showy, plain or wrapped in silk, the chrysalis retains an air of mystery. It takes time to transform from a caterpillar into a butterfly.
With the help of our passionate nature interpreters, discover the astonishing diversity of nature’s jewels: chrysalises. While still not fully understood by scientists, they have held a special place in the popular culture of many peoples since the dawn of time as a spiritual symbol of rebirth and the afterlife.
Come closer, contemplate their indescribable beauty and be inspired.
