Come and listen to what astronomer and curator of the meteorite collection of the Planétarium Rio Tinto Alcan, André Grandchamps has to say about comets and asteroids, under the dome of the Chaos Theatre. Far from being small, bleak, remote bodies of our solar system, comets and asteroids played a role in the formation of the Earth and Moon and hold some fascinating secrets that Mr. Grandchamps will reveal, from their contribution to the presence of water on our planet to their sometimes spectacular entries into the Earth’s atmosphere.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear what gifted communicator André Grandchamps has to say about meteorites. You’ll soon become as fascinated with them as he is.

The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a presentation on the history of the Chelyabinsk meteorite, which fell to Earth on this day in 2013.
