When snack time comes around, it’s all penguins on deck! Do you know the difference between a pingouin in French and a penguin in English? The Biodôme has both! Feeding time is probably the best opportunity to identify their characteristics and get to know them better.

Buffet or à la carte?

Visiting the penguins will give you plenty of time to observe them at your leisure and count how many fish they scoff. You’ll find out why the penguins are fed by hand while the auks (“pingouins” in French) are treated to an all-you-can-eat buffet!

Play “I Spy”

Can you spot the penguin wearing custom-made booties? Or the group’s patriarch, sporting a green band? Or the baby of the family, recognizable by the lack of coloured plumage on the head?

A nature interpreter can help you find them during this entertaining game, putting your powers of observation to the test!
