Research feels like lots of fun!

Technological advances and the state of the environment are driving researchers to think bigger, faster. Montréal Space for Life is giving you the opportunity to spend a crazy Friday night meeting dozens of them.

These explorers pushing back the frontiers of discovery are committed to sharing with you how they are helping advance scientific knowledge. In a festive and offbeat atmosphere, to the sounds of DJ Lydia Képinski., find out what their lives look like in 2019.

This is an unusual one-time opportunity to meet actual researchers and learn about the world they work in every day. You may be surprised by their sense of humour and wicked wit!

Speed dating / Discover the reality of researchers’ lives during a quick face-to-face. Prepare your questions ahead of time or pick them at random to make the most of your limited time!

Exhibits / You’ll get a chance chat with researchers and handle real lab instruments and field equipment in an immersive atmosphere. Some common myths about scientists may bite the dust.

Acfas Space / Explaining your years of doctoral work clearly in three minutes? That’s the challenge faced by the winners of MT180, the French version of Three-Minute Thesis, the annual international competition. As part of Researchers’ Night, Acfas is proud to partner with Montréal Space for Life to present a continuous showcase of the best performances captured on video. You’re bound to be impressed!

GIANT Lite Brite / Magic and nostalgia await! Let your creativity shine with this larger-than-life toy.

Good moves, bad moves!

Hosted by Marianne Desautels-Marissal. With the stories of Nathalie Rose Le François, Michel Labrecque, Olivier Hernandez and Maxim Larrivée.
