Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about cucurbitaceae, whether small, big, round or warty!

At the Squash Kiosk, little ones, fat ones, round or warty ones – each one will be exercising its ingenuity to make the best impression.  And at the pumpkin-decorating contest, the good witch Esmeralda, an urban farmer, invites you to tour roughly 800 squashes and pumpkins decorated by students and visitors. In addition to introducing you to the fruit of her labors – an endless series of ugly fruit, as it happens – Esmeralda is cooking up some really strange potions.

This year, our star character, Pépo citrouille, will step on stage one last time to play the detective in his show, Pépo enquête. Don’t forget to say your goodbyes!

Finally, don’t leave the Garden without stopping by the Little Monsters Courtyard, where new play structures await!

Notes
Montréal Space for Life is extending the Botanical Garden’s hours for all weekends in October, starting Friday, September 30. Visitors will be able to buy tickets until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and visit the site until one hour after the ticket counter closes. On Thanksgiving weekend, the ticket counter will stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
