Discover ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, during a presentation in the Japanese Garden. See how each branch and each flower is carefully chosen to create a unique arrangement.

Although it follows precise rules, ikebana leaves plenty of room for creativity. Characterized by asymmetry, harmonious lines, empty space, and an appreciation of nature in its purest form, ikebana transforms a bouquet into visual poetry.

During this presentation, instructors from the Montréal Chapter of Ikebana International will introduce you to the essential techniques and principles of this refined art.

The ikebana shown above is a creation by the artist Lynne Williams.
