From August 10 to 15, when weather conditions allow, come discover the magic of the starry sky in an urban setting.

From 8:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., at the heart of the Jardin botanique, our expert and impassioned team from the Planétarium will guide you on a journey through the cosmos, helping you learn about the constellations and how to find your way around the nighttime sky.

Wrap up well, bring a hot drink, and stretch out on your blanket among the arboretum trees. Let yourself be absorbed by this unique atmosphere, lulled by nature’s nocturnal soundscape and bathed in the scents of plant life. A musical ambience – and moments of silence – will provide the framework for these extraordinary evenings.

This activity will take place in French only.

Visitor tips and other information

  • For your comfort, don’t forget to bring a blanket or a chair.
  • Have warm clothes, because nights can be cool in August.
  • Think about bringing a flashlight for coming back at the end of the evening.
  • Doors will open at 8:30 p.m., and the event will start at 9:00 p.m. Entry will be at the intersection of Boulevard Pie IX and Rue Sherbrooke (turnstile on the restaurant side). There will be no access to the site after 9:00 p.m., and all exits will be final.
  • Once in the Jardin, you’ll find directions to the right spot.
  • Please note that the use of cigarettes (including electronic cigarettes) is prohibited on the entire Jardin botanique site, except in areas set aside for the purpose. In addition, consuming cannabis or alcohol is strictly forbidden.
