Picnic under the lilacs The lilacs will soon be in bloom in the Lilac Garden at Montréal’s Jardin botanique. It’s the perfect time to enjoy a picnic surrounded by their sweet fragrance. Enjoy the lilacs in bloom in June During the first two weekends of June, reserve your picnic basket from the Jardin botanique restaurant and enjoy it under the blooming lilacs. Each basket, designed for two people, includes: Two sandwiches of your choice Two salads of the day Two non-alcoholic beverages Two desserts of the day A red-and-white checkered tablecloth, loaned for the duration of the meal The basket costs $23.50 per person, or $47 per basket, taxes included.How it works Go to the welcome booth and present your valid admission ticket purchased in advance through our online ticket office. Head to the Lilac Garden between noon and 1:30 p.m. to pay for your gourmet basket (debit or credit card only) and pick it up. Spread your checkered tablecloth on the ground and settle into the area reserved for this activity beneath the blooming lilacs. Once your meal is over, return your tablecloth and basket to the Jardin botanique team. Your gourmet basket may not be enjoyed elsewhere in the Jardin botanique.
