Focusing on the final period of Jean Paul Riopelle’s life and creation, the immersive experience Riopelle. A Bird Wild and Free takes you deep inside the world of the artist when he lived in L’Isle-aux-Grues, on the St. Lawrence River. Come and discover the majestic landscapes and the flights of white geese that inspired Riopelle, and catch a glimpse of his studio.

As part of the celebrations surrounding the 100th anniversary of the birth of this internationally renowned artist, the Biosphère is highlighting Riopelle’s significant contribution by offering a unique immersive experience. An interactive journey combining visual arts, projections and symphonic music, adapted from the show Riopelle symphonique, will be presented in the museum’s largest exhibition hall.

This project was developed in collaboration with GSI Musique, designer of Riopelle symphonique, and the Jean Paul Riopelle Foundation.
