Lisa Qiluqqi Koperqualuk, Curator of the exhibition Kuugaaluk: along the traces of our forefathers, will discuss with the public the importance of this project for young Inuit* and elders. Lisa Qiluqqi Koperqualuk will reveal personal anecdotes and knowledge about her 2018 expedition.

It was by looking at archival photographs taken by Rousseau in 1948 that elders were able to identify several people and remember the days when they had stayed there. Following this intellectual exercise, Lisa and her partner Yvan Pouliot decided to take the trip again to Kuugaaluk with young Inuit. Take a tour of this magnificent exhibition through the First Nations Garden.

* The spelling of the word Inuit respects the original language; Inuit is a plural word which means 'the men', 'the people'.
