Stroll through the First Nations Garden at Montréal’s Jardin botanique to discover the portraits and listen to the audio clips featured in this exhibition highlighting the relationship between Indigenous Peoples and the territory.

An open-air gallery

This exhibition explores the deep connections between territory and cultural transmission, as told by First Nations and Inuit peoples. A vast territory shared among Nations lies at the heart of their identities, beliefs and traditions.

Drawn from the docuseries Telling Our Story, the themed photographs and audio clips present individuals and communities, their cultures, their languages and their knowledge rooted in this relationship with the territory.
