Participants in the Aldebaran project will be helping the Planétarium’s Office for Outer Space Affairs (BASP) deploy a habitable space station on Mars using Class AT-UV Lego Mindstorms robots. To boost their chances of success, they will be given training in programming and robotics so that they can get the full potential out of their AT-UV robot. They will then be asked to carry out a series of missions to ensure the viability of the space station. Spread out over four sessions, the project will wind up with the launch of a rocket that will take a crew to Mars to explore the red planet.
